Day One

This chopped up mess leave plenty to the imagination. I was told it was chopped up for weight reduction, but it was not done with grace. It was missing critical structure and the basics like fenders and windows, However, It ran and has a 5 speed so it deserves everything it has coming.

BUMPERS

Utilizing the awesome power of the internet, I was able to get a front and rear Jeep bumper for less than $300. This became an awesome foundation for the future frame work to build off of.

REAR EXO CAGE

Piece by piece, the skeleton became the shaping of this new design. I want to go for an early MACH 1 fast back style with heavily exaggerated features. Of course what would this build be without an obnoxiously large spoiler with little to no value other than providing a stable place to have a beer.

FENDERS

These tube fenders were free hand bent with an idea and very little direction. The accuracy side to side was achieved by doing each bend one at a time and replicating it on the other side. The fenders finally achieved functionality by placing perforated steel over them.

LOUVERS

Nothing says classic quite like symmetrically placed slats over your back window. Better still is if you don't have a window, then you have the opportunity to use strap steel to get the job done.

MEAN AND GREEN

As this rig takes shape, it is fun to sit back and admire the progress. At this phase, while not a daily driver, is fun to rip around town and gather looks of admiration and disgust!
